World renowned GNP Crescendo Records will be in town Friday, July 12th appearing at the Ironwood Theater in Ironwood, MI. Owner Neil Norman, son of the record label founder Gene Norman, will be discussing his record label and topics such as the label’s artists old and new, including showing his documentary film on their hit band from the 60’s, The Seeds. A Q&A session will follow the film. Event goers will also be treated to a live acoustic performance from one of the labels current performers, Michael Jahnz of Richrath Project 3:13. This will be a kind of “teaser” as to what fans can expect when the entire Richrath Project 3:13 Band joins Michael to headline the Grandstand show at Gogebic County Fair on August 9th! The Original Richrath Band, with the legendary Gary Richrath of REO Speedwagon on lead guitar, released their “Only The Strong Survive CD” on GNP Crescendo’s label in 1992. The current Richrath Project 3:13 has been working in the studio with Neil as producer and is anticipating releasing their new Richrath CD later this year! Neil is excellent at music career guidance and will take the time to answer your questions about the music and film business and we’re sure Michael will chime in too! It’s going to be an awesome event so make sure not to miss it!
